Mystery Birthday Present

Okay, so here is what my work colleagues bought me for my birthday gift...(this is what came inside the jiffy bag) -
Mystery Birthday Present #1
...and this is the contents of the blue box -
Mystery Birthday Present #2
- (with give-away sticker obscured)...Looking closer at the object itself, it takes a single AA cell for power, has just one switch (with two settings), a small red light and what looks like a small microphone on the top -
Mystery Birthday Present #3
I twigged what it was rather quickly... ;)

So, can anyone guess what it is? Answers on an IP packet... ;)

(Obviously those already in the know, please refrain from commenting!)

That reminds me, you got the test results back yet? If you have I hope they are suitably negative! You missed a great gig the other night btw :-) they played lots of the old stuff.... high point for me was when they played V from the T&C album :-)

Hi ... I think the clue is in the Cyrillic printing which appears to say RADIOACTIVITY INDICATOR ... so I think it is a useful tool to use in those posh restaurants where you consort with former members of the Soviet Intelligence Community. For myself, I'm sticking with the Oxted chippy which can do enough calorific damage without adding extra ionisation....

Yep, all clear, well, I guess anyway! They said they would contact me if there was a problem...about a thousand people were tested on the same day as me, and they told me I was outside the real risk group at the time...

Damn, would have been nice to see NMA again after all this time, shame the blooming toilet broke... >:(
