...So, I had the distinct pleasure of cooking up my patented "Roast" for quite a number of folk earlier today, I certainly managed a world record speed on my red wine jus, coming in tasting really good at just under 65 minutes (doubled the ingredients and also, with the herb garden coming along, a load of fresh ingredients, wonder if these factors had anything to do with it?), the meat and spuds had a good two hours, so I had to slow the jus down so it didn't become a complete reduction! Another real pleasure was to discover exactly how great cauliflower tastes when simply steamed, no cheese sauce, no nonsense...just vapour for 20 minutes...yummy! ;)
