Fink's Links #51

...and another week teeters to an end, so let's celebrate the impending weekend by sneaking into the internet's house while it's out shopping and search through it's pants and socks drawer to see what's hidden at the bottom...

Look! Under those slightly yellow y-fronts, yes, move them aside with your pencil - some sweet geeky graffiti!

Next, a fearsomely cool Samurai Umbrella...

Following the theme, check out the pocket shark pen (and I quote) "built for impact and, in a self-defense emergency it can become an efficient Yawara stick for driving off an attacker" (it's also an effective CD labelling pen)... ;)

A cat that obviously hasn't learned it's lesson...

The US Army have a new toy, an anti-aircraft, humvee mounted, laser cannon! FTW!

Check out Jet-Lev, a (rather Mario-Sunshine-looking) water driven personal backpack (with amazing video)!

Be amazed at the number of undersea cables (at that time, it was telegraph cables) connecting the world in 1901...

Meet Axxo (a well balanced and very interesting piece in the Independant about movie piracy)...

A clever and amusing anti-theft lunch bag (do people really steal each others sandwiches these days)...?

An incredible video of the German "Trainrider"...(yes, well don't try that at home the railway station, kids)... ;)

A soon to be released VoIP/Skype Star Trek communicator!

Watch as some guy tries to make a simple toaster from scratch, yes, from scratch - i.e. refining crude oil to produce plastic, smelting iron ore, refining copper (could take a while then)...

Go urban exploring to the abandoned Henryton State Hospital...

- and last, but not least a hearty "Denial Fail"...

Quick!  That's the sound of the internet putting it's keys in the door! Out the window!

(Oh and if you like this sort of thing, my previous link posts are this way)...!
