Things that should be deleted #1 - The pull along briefcase

Well, I guess if the shoe were on the other foot, and I were scooting around an airport or zipping along a hotel corridor I would be very pleased to have my little pull along briefcase, taking the weight of the oh-so-heavy mobile phone, wallet, pen and small pile of papers from my tired shoulders and placing them on those squeaky casters or roller-blade wheels, and in those situations, I'm sure they are most practical - however - when moving at speed as a (and I make up a word) "commuter-raptor" whipping through the pack of equally aggressive hunters, all making our certain, rapid and steely-eyed way with practiced familiarity through tunnel, across street and plaza, the occasional sudden trip (or even stub) when encountering the stupid little blob on the end of flimsy aluminium rod, flipping over every few steps as it wobbles pitifully along behind some confused, diminutive and lumbering "business traveller" who is frankly perfectly capable of picking the pathetic item up and using the handle makes my blood boil...

DELETE.

I actually point-blank refused to wheel my suitcase along when I went to Ireland, because the effort irritates me more than carrying it, and the sound drives me mad.

I can perfectly understand it for big old suitcases when going on holiday, or a long business trip, but I must have to contend with 8 or 9 of the silly small variety *every* *single* *day* on the commute...at least once a week I'll be behind someone who thinks they can wobble slowly through the ticket barriers dragging one and not have the gate slam shut (with a loud screeching noise), leaving them on one side and the briefcase on the other...I should smile in sympathy, but I normally just point to the luggage gate they didn't bother to use and shake my head...

I don't have the capabilities to be considerate enough to smile in sympathy. I either just run to the nearest device that has an internet connection, question why I'm away from my PC and comfy chair in the first place and vent, or grit my teeth and rant in my head about how human beings are so irritating, and make a note to blog about it later. Is that bad?

It's a clever idea, for the big suitcases, I mean, but the whole pulling motion and sound that you have to endure just annoys me to no end.

When I last went to London, I was so overwhelmed by the amount of people I saw falling over! So I didn't really have much time to take notice of the luggage people had with them.

I don't quite understand why people would insist on wheeling those stupid luggage cases around when you can quite easily have something on your back.

That's a dog wheeler! Not a pull along briefcase!
