Don't miss this terribly inventive blog - wwar1.blogspot.com - the letters of a First World War private called "Harry Lamin" recounting his experiences of battle via letter to members of his family are being serialised as postings (90 years to the day after they were written) by his grandson...
It's not too late to catch up, and join in to see what becomes of Private Lamin, as of his last two letters (which were dated 30th December) he has just survived Passchendaele and is stationed in Italy (he has roast pork for his Christmas lunch)... ;)
Interesting stuff!
