Disney's Star Wars!

Oh my goodness...can it be true?  George Lucas sells Star Wars to Disney - LOTS of new movies in the works - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20146942

TRON Legacy cup cake

TRON Legacy cup cake
...that's nice, a new TRON film comes out on DVD, we get free glittery cake! Do I even bother to try and get it home in one piece to give it to Flyingpops? Never gonna happen, is it?

Baby Einstein

It's about now...18-19 months, all of a sudden, Baby Einstein (the Disney DVDs designed to stimulate kids in an "edutainment" way) suddenly come into their own...when Thomas was *very* new we tried them out (using them predominantly for animal drill - "That's a CAT Thomas, the CAT says 'Meow', can you point to the CAT?" to which Thomas would look confused and suck his fingers)...now if I spin up the "Shapes" movie there is an awful lot of jumping around and pointing "Dadn, a tiangle!", "Dadn circles!" "Dadn lellow sqare!" (although, admittedly, most colours seem to be called "lellow" and "a" ends up on the front of words slightly at random but at least plurals seem to be fairly regularly correctly employed)...this has the potential to be very, very useful on the flight on holiday (assuming it doesn't annoy the other passengers too much)... ;)

"Rolling along, on our way"...

Thomas Driving ;)
Oh dear, this really is telling...I was sat here at my desk, minding my own business, just plugging away at the mountain of email in our group mailbox when suddenly I realised that not only had I been (in an absent-minded way) humming the tune that Thomas' Whinnie the Pooh Sort and Learn Cart plays at start-up, I had actually been singing (out loud) the lyrics...and not only singing them, but doing a (poor) approximation of Jim Cumming's Whinnie the Pooh voice (complete with little laugh)...

Oh dear (again)...thankfully nobody seemed to notice... ;)

Art Exhibition Canary Wharf - UEL Fine Art Students

White Rabbit in the Wharf
Just had to share this...spotted it this morning pasted to one of the windows in reception in One Canada Square...really made me smile - "I'm late! I'm late!"... ;)

Will have to have a proper nose around at lunchtime, there seem to be little works of art peppered all over the place by these fine art students, like another person has stuck lithographic lettering just by our security barrier reading "Just passing by"...

Actually some of the more interesting and amusing pieces to have been exhibited here (IMHO... ;)

Take over Disneyland!

Hehe, sorry, couldn't help myself, (I know) it's *blatant* advertising, but it is so cleverly done I just had to share...Well, admittedly some bits of the grammar don't work too well ("It's a Angel World" for example), but I really enjoyed it none the less... ;)

So don't miss out, it's your chance to rename Disney World to something completely different, although not swearwords I'm afraid...(Yes, I knew what you were thinking, you cheeky little imps)... ;)

When you get to the landing page scroll down to the bit at the bottom to generate code to embed it on a website, that saves you having to fill out the form at the top... :)

Happy "holidays"... ;)
