Earlswood Sunrise today

...another incredible view, knew it was going to be special the second I opened the front door...this was taken just as I crossed the road towards the new car park at East Surrey Hospital...only lasted for five minutes, sky was blue by the time I got up to Royal Earlswood Park...so there is something to be said for the alarm going off super early! ;)

Absolutely beautiful sunrise this morning, taken from the break in the middle of Tower Bridge over the Thames, looking towards Canary Wharf... ;)

...and the train was delayed by a points issue at Gatwick...Brrr!  Still, I got to watch the sun come up over Royal Earlswood Park (which was nice)... ;)

The Shard seen from One Canada Square

Wow, check it out, that is the early morning winter sun striking the Shard building by London Bridge station (as seen from the office) - it's the big bright thing near the middle, zoom in if you like by clicking it - sorry it's only a mobile phone shot, but you should get an idea of quite what a landmark this building is going to be when it's finished...and they still have about the top fifth of the building left to glaze! It looks like something the ancient Egyptians would have dreamed up! ;)

Hello Sunshine!

Ah...can't tell you how good it is to be leaving the house in daylight again...and for bonus points, not in the snow or rain! In fact, it's been so nice my mind has been turning to thoughts of al fresco dining on charcoal cooked meats...just a shame it's absolutely freezing cold with it, or I'd be out poking the BBQ with a stick to scare off the spiders and pulling on my apron... ;)

Only bad thing is, BST starts at the end of the month, and then we'll be back to square one (in the morning, anyway)!

Sunrise and stomach ache >;P

Amazing sunrise this morning, still had Flyingpops camera in my bag from yesterday so grabbed a quick snap...got into London Bridge to wait for the 17 bus and when it turned up it was an antique single-decker! How everyone squeezed on is quite beyond my imagination, but as I was near the front of the queue I made a mad dash for the fire exit seat (it of the extra leg room)...so I was alright at least... ;)

On another note, and I'm not going to blame the Christmas lunch yesterday as I was feeling a bit on the tender side before I even tasted it, but had a bit of a stomach ache since yesterday morning, decided, as we are on the run up to Christmas, and rich food and drink is going to be the order of the season, that I am going on a pre-binge detox, so until my birthday, which is on the 23rd of December, I'm going to lay off the booze and eat pasta/vegetables and drink plenty of water...well, that's the idea anyway, I'll keep you posted... ;)

It's okay, body, you can thank me later... ;)
