Quite amazing views today (trying to get into the office early, best option being to walk again - oh well) - First up - More London Place to the North East...

More London Place to the South West (you can normally see the Shard in the gap in the middle - no chance today)...!

London City Hall (and the fountains full of frolicking children - in more merciful weather)...

Rather foggy start to the day!

Cold Morning...

...this morning, that is actually the Shard believe it or not... ;)

Got picked up by taxi this morning around 6am to be in the office at half seven for the arrival of some engineers and the taxi driver told me that conditions were so bad on the roads that taxis were crashing into stationary cars because they just couldn't see them!  Our drive into Redhill was conducted at about 15mph, working our way from one indistinct pool of orange light to the next...scary!

Wow, quite a contrast to the normal view out the window today, odd, it didn't actually look that bad from the ground...everyone is just telling me to wait for a thunderstorm across London (apparently that is just *incredible*)...can't wait! Still this is quite spooky, unless you look right up into the sky -


...it just looks like we are floating in the clouds...and funnily enough, more freebies today - some travel-sized deordorant - will hang on to them for the honeymoon... ;)

Google Analytics - Sitemeter Down?

As we were pulling into London Bridge this morning I peered over to the right to see if I could catch a glipse of "The Wharf" in the distance but the fog was so bad it was nowhere to be seen, and in fact, upon getting here, the top few floors were looking a little hazy...still, at least it's not too cold and it's not raining, it could be worse... ;)

Anyway, my site traffic tool (Sitemeter) seems to have given up the ghost, it died at Thanksgiving (too much Turkey and Cornbread I suspect), I haven't given up on it completely (still left the tag there just in case it springs back to life as I have a lot of historical data on there), but just on the off-chance, and also because I like my daily browse of who is visiting and how they ended up here I have also now installed Google Analytics (two heads are better than one)...and I have to say I am extremely impressed! In fact there's only two bad things I can say about it - it's private (so I have to log on to browse reports, and no-one else will be able to see them) and secondly, it's going to take some mucking around to get my head around the new interface, but it's hardly rocket science, won't take long to get used to...

So if you are in the same boat as me, or just fancy a change (it's completely free), give it a try!

...today, and seriously cold (perhaps the short sleeved shirt wasn't the best idea after all), the weathermen are forecasting arctic conditions for Friday (freezing temperatures, snow, ice, gale force winds etc.), just gotta hope the double glazing goes in okay tomorrow...if so I'll be joining the Americans with their observation of "Thanksgiving" I think...! ;)
