Perfect Wedding Poem - Readings

I went through books and books, and searched the internet for hours to find a suitable poem to be read during the wedding ceremony and finally found this one which I felt was perfect. So, just imagine Tim standing at the front of the church and reading this...

On Your Wedding Day

Today is a day you will always remember
the greatest in anyone’s life.
You’ll start off the day just two people in love
and end it as husband and wife.
It’s a brand new beginning, the start of a journey,
with moments to cherish and treasure.
And although there’ll be times when you both disagree,
these will surely be outweighed by pleasure.
You’ll have heard many words of advice in the past,
when the secrets of marriage were spoken,
but now you know that the answers lie hidden inside,
where the bond of true love lies unbroken.
So live happy forever as lovers and friends,
it’s the dawn of a new life for you,
as you stand there together with love in your eyes
from the moment you whisper, “I do”.
And with luck, all your hopes, and your dreams can be real,
may success find its way to your hearts.
Tomorrow can bring you the greatest of joys,
but today is the day it all starts.

So, now I'm officially "Mrs.Flyingpops"...or should that be "Mrs.Finkangel"? I have been granted permission to post here, and it seems timely that I should write a bit about the wedding...

I came out of the shower on Monday night in tears - "Why?" - I hear you ask, well, I couldn't remember my vows (my head still spinning from the excitement of the day)... so I've put them here so I will never (ever) forget again...

I "Fink", do take you "Flyingpops"
to be my wife,
to have and to hold,
from this day forward,
for better for worse,
for richer for poorer,
in sickness and in health,
to love and to cherish,
till death us do part,
according to God's holy law.
In the presence of God I make this Vow

We both then exchanged rings and said to each other...

I give you this ring, as a sign of our marriage

Within the love of God, Father Son and Holy Spirit

Then big round of applause and my husband kisses me!
