Salfords School Nativity Play!

By Order - No pictures of the kids on Social Media (of course)...!  But no harm in putting up a picture of the incredible hard work that obviously went into making the stage - and of course Thomas in his amazing star costume - The "star" of the show (geddit?)... ;)

He even had a speaking part - delivering it perfectly (and nice and loudly too)...quite how the staff managed to teach the kids all those songs and dances I will never know!  Amazing! :)

Christmas decorations are up!

Ah, Christmas is almost here! We spent a very enjoyable Sunday (with Will Ferrell's hilarious "Elf" on the TV in the background) trying to work out how to reassemble the (German Christmas Market) Nativity (which Thomas completed for us by adding the purple hippopotamus which we had somehow managed to forget - Silly Mummy and Daddy!) -

- struggling to work out how to put together the (German Christmas Market) bell-candle-impeller-thing (sure they have a proper name, Christmas Chime or something, but I can't find it), which was totally illogical in it's construction (but we got there in the end, after only being knocked on the floor by Thomas twice, helping Daddy to start all over again-

- put batteries back in all the plush-noisy electronica and plugged in the fibre-optic nativity (which warbles a couple of cut down Christmas hymns far too noisily)-

- and ventured out into the trecherously icy garden to bring back in our live Christmas tree (now about to enjoy it's *third* year, warm and cosy in the house)-

- this is what it looked like when we first bought it back in 2008...it's practically doubled in height! :)

Anyway, the countdown is now well and truly underway, my last full day at work before Christmas is the 16th! Woo Hoo!! :)

Typical...Turns out that I might have been assasinated by the KGB...

...(oh, here is our naff but perfect Christmas nativity btw, brought it down this morning and plugged it in, it plays about 30 seconds of two Christmas carols in a loop while the three wise men zoom around in a celebratory circle with a camel ;)

Anyway, back to the radiation poisoning - I was in the Millenium Hotel, in the Pine bar a couple of days after Mr Litvinenko decided it would be a nice place to hang out with his "friends"...All seven members of staff tested positive for it, the official line is that you are only in trouble if you were there on these certain couple of days, and risk is low regardless, but (if you look it up) this stuff has a half life of 22 YEARS, not 3 days...22 YEARS...and I ate and I drank there...*AND* the food was shit...

Anyway, I've done my duty and given in my urine sample...bah...wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't been feeling so poorly lately, my mind is starting to play tricks! :(

Nativity

Right, that's Christmas done (apart from the post celebration gluttony and the New Year to come)! Time for some of the pics...Christmas Eve began at my folks...this is their wonderful carved wooden nativity... ;)
