So this was the scene yesterday, looking out the back of the bus (yes, I sit with all the naughty kids on the back seat, mostly because there's more leg room by the emergency exit, but anyway - )...there is some work going on at the traffic lights in Earlswood, right by "
The Causeway" pub, the picture above is the queue caused (all the way back up the hill towards Redhill), this wouldn't be too bad, but this is exactly the route that most of the ambulances on their way to
East Surrey Hospital must travel...if you look right at the back of the queue you can just about see the flashing lights of one such vehicle (carrying a person potentially on deaths door) stuck in traffic with the rest of us...this is not good... :(
They either need to do this work during the night, or set up the temporary lights with the same cycle as the proper lights (which would seem like common sense to me)...surely this is putting lives in danger?
